Google released its Google Allo, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered messaging app for Android and iOS that helps you say more and do more things in your chats.
I’m sure each of us will have at least a couple of messaging apps right now in our smart phones. I would say the raise of these messaging apps killed the message booster packs especially in India. Still I remember in 2010 I spend more for my SMS booster packs than the normal talk time recharges. Now people in the age of 50’s started asking “Are you in whatsApp?”. That’s big the messaging apps market is.
Some of the most used messaging apps are WhatsApp, Viber, WeChat, Facebook Messenger, Hike and Hangouts. Now it’s time for Google to enter in this market really helps them to pull huge amount of data from our conversations.
What Google Allo Does?
We all knew it’s a new messaging app launched by Google. Apart from messaging, Google Allo can help you make plans, find information and express yourself more easily in chat.
It has the regular stuffs like quick response and in better way with the help of smart reply. You can also express yourself with photos, emojis and more than 25 costumed stickers.
Google explains that the app can predict how you should reply to messages. For example, if someone sends you an image of a dog, it will scan the image, detect the canine, and suggest you compliment the cuteness of the pet.
This is the USP of this App, with the help of Google Assistant in Allo, you can have a conversation with Google — ask it questions and let it help you get things done directly in your chats. You no longer need to leave a conversation with friends just to grab an address, share your favorite YouTube video, or pick a dinner spot. Just type @google to bring your Assistant into any group chat. And of course, you can also chat one-one-one with your Assistant in Allo.
How Google Assistant can help you in Google Allo:
At the time of chat with your friends, you can ask them for hangout plans by searching for movie times, local restaurants, travel, flights, hotels and more.
Get the latest info on everything from news, weather, traffic, sports, or your upcoming flights status. Also you can ask the Assistant to send you daily updates on the information you care about.
Here’s something which I tried “Need movie tickets”. It gave some options with the list of new movies. When I selected the movie it shows the IMDB page with the rating and rankings. If you are from a SEO background you would have thought how can rank my page for this keyword. Yes I thought the same.
There are some minor glitches in listening of voices; it’s not properly recognizing the words. But nothing to worry Google will improve this. Thanks its listen “Rajinikant” and throws the details of Thalivar. As of now The Assistant is available in English for other languages you need to wait for some time.
How The Allo will track our Hello?
Each of us knew that Google tracks everything that we do, but however, the extent of this tracking might surprise you. Undoubtedly the Google Assistant is the next big thing in Google’s journey. Hope the Google Assistant will work seamlessly throughout all our day at home or on the go like the way other Google products works. Google said And the more you use it, the more it improves over time (Read the bolded words once again). Allo certainly seems like a well-built app that integrates Google’s powerful search functionality beautifully.
Allo App will be the next level of individual tracking and already Google can show you just, how much they know about you and your habits. If you’re really interested now Click Here, you can see for yourself. Google is certainly positioning themselves to be the leader in messaging space and they can do it easily too. The Allo is Google’s real investment for the future to track a person’s day to day behavior in detail.
Imagine sitting in front of the television with your smart phone nearby. An advertisement comes on during the show you’re watching, and it has a SilverPush ultrasonic message embedded in it. This is picked up by an app on your mobile, which pings a media network with information about you, and could even display follow-up ads and links on your handheld. When I came to know this for first time, I said WTF. Yes there are technologies like this which is available right now in the market which helps advertisers to target you in niche ways.
As my mentor says “ Yes, Google should die” 😛
